We recently bought a new split type aircon for our room, previously our aircon is a window type 0.75 HP for a room size of 10.34 sqm.
What decided us to buy a new aircon? Because the window type aircon is more than 14 years old and is no longer enough to cool the whole room. Another is, considering for the electric consumption, we opt for an inverter split type aircon.
The unit is Daikin, why Daikin? Its technology and company is Japanese. Aircon technology of Japan is know to every corner of the world and one of the best brand of aircon. Also one of the pioneer of inverter technology.
Cost is PhP34,720 including PhP600 delivery fee and discount, this was bought from SM Appliance Center (SM City North Edsa – Basement Branch) last July 15, 2020. Model is FTKQ25AXVL and outdoor unit is RKQ25AGXVL, 1 HP unit. The unit arrived in our home at 1:25pm July 17, 2020.
Daikin usually sells split type aircon unit through dealers who are aircon service providers, that is one reason why their spilt type aircon are way cheaper than other brands, but with the changing trends, Daikin now sells and markets their split type aircon through partner malls.
Because we really need immediate installation and the SM Appliance told me that Daikin Philippines is the one that will schedule the installation. After the delivery of the unit, I immediately chat through Facebook and email Daikin Philippines for the said installation. I receive an email from Nathan of Daikin Philippines providing me the list of the nearest Daikin Authorized Service Provider in my area that can install the aircon unit by July 18, 2020. The reason for immediate installation is I am unable to assist the installer personnel by July 20-24, 2020 as I have skeletal work at the office during the Covid-19 pandemic.
We got in touch with one good Daikin Authorized Service Provider as the other one is not good to talk with, the one we got in touch provided us procedures of the installation and ask us the electrical connection of our existing where they will tap the electrical for the new aircon. Cost of installation is about PhP7,500, why that price? Because they require PPEs for their personnel and always disinfect and sanitize their tools, which is a good thing to keep all people safe.
Will post another for the after installation and actual use.
