Yep! That was right, as recently I got in hand of a Playstation 2 console the fat version which I was waiting for a long time. The fat version is the most recommended one because it was not causing too much overheating problems like what the slim version is experiencing. It was given to me by my cousin from Guam, which they had for 3 years. The model of the console is SCPH-50001 that is made in China and its 110 volts, our country Philippines supports 220 volts, but some people says that PS2 consoles made in China cannot be used for long time playing. It was too late for me to notice that the console broke down before I know the information about the PS2 consoles made in China. The console did not respond anymore because my cousin’s children where playing with it the whole day for 3 weeks and there are no aircon in our living room or sala. I was lucky at that time because I have enough budget and time for the console to be fixed and to modify it so that it could play other import PS2 games.
So, I go to Raon, Quiapo to find shop that can handle the problems in my PS2 console. As I found a shop, they told me that it was useless to fix it because the console is using China PS2 board, also they recommend me to use Japan PS2 board as its really durable and can be played for a long-long time. The Japan PS2 board is SCPH-30000 and still a 110 volt installed with it. It was installed on my PS2 console and also modified for a price of $67 (PhP3,000 exchange rate of $1:PhP45). The modchip installed to modify the PS2 console is Super7 E17. And as of now I can play other import PS2 games in my console without any problems at all.
