I recently bought an Arduino Uno board for the purpose of recovering my Asus RT-N16, which died on me more than a year ago.
I found a topic/thread regarding the use of Arduino for JTAG of the wireless routers at dd-wrt.com.
Why I bought an Arduino Uno? Because it is readily available here in our country, while the DIYGADGET that offers the Universal JTAG (for parallel port or LPT port) or the TUMPA (for USB) has issues in shipping in our country and they refunded my purchase from them even if the item did not arrived.
I am hoping that it can recover and restore my Asus RT-N16, so far it has some progress on detecting the CPU Chip but has an issue with detecting the Flash Chip.

You can buy your very own Arduino at https://shopee.ph/circuitrocks they offer the best Arduino boards and accessories you may need, and the other stores did not open while in the pandemic of the Covid-19 and ECQ or MECQ here in Metro Manila.
